Specialised Inflatable Technology is GP Rescue's client of the month for November. SIT was founded in 2009 and is based in the UK. They are a leading manufacturer of inflatables for users such as the military, fire and rescue services, and coast guards. SIT prides itself on its innovative designs, diligent engineering, attention to detail and commitment to top quality. SIT is constantly working with its customers to innovate and develop new products.
One of SIT’s top products is the ResQpath. The ResQpath is a unique inflatable product that allows rescuers to reach victims on a variety of surfaces in an emergency. The ResQpath inflates to a high pressure using a compressed air tank or a hand pump. Its unique drop-thread floor takes that pressure and creates a surface that is so strong it is almost like walking on solid ground, even when used on mud, ice, sand, or even water. The ResQpath stores neatly in a bag and can go from stored to fully inflated in about a minute using a high-pressure compressed air tank.
They are made from Hypalon which is designed to last for years and to resist any UV damage. It also has a neoprene polymer coating to ensure its durability. ResQpaths come in 4 different sizes, 2m, 3m, 5m, and 10m. They all have connector points so that multiple ResQpaths can be joined together in order to reach longer distances. ResQpaths are made to be used in water, ice, mud, sand, and other soft terrain.
